I am settling back into life not on the road and am slowly remembering the items that were in the bag I lost. So far I have noted the following missing items:
Paris repaired Hard Rock Cafe Pilsner Glass
Dublin Hard Rock Cafe Pilsner Glass
Dublin Hard Rock Cafe Shot Glass
A heavy duty water bottle
My lucky pencil
The remains of the super glue tube.
My brochures from France
Postcard holders--for postcards with my pictures...and probably more that I cannot remember.
I have been under the weather these last few days (refuse to say I am sick, but it is looking that way) and so I went to the pharmacy to get some medicine. You cannot go to the corner drugstore and pick up some Robitussin so I went online to a translation site and typed in "coughing", "sore throat", and "mucus" I wrote down what I saw and headed out. I went to two different places and got different medicines. The first place did not know English and gave me these NASTY tasting lozenges. At the second place when I asked if she knew English, she ran back and got the phone to call someone. I told the person on the phone my symptoms and then passed the phone back...after a few exchanges, I walked out with some mucus tablets, some vitamin c tablets, and another thing of tablets. Before going home I decided to hit the open air market. I was able to do enough hand gestures and motioning to buy some strawberries, carrots, potatoes, and even some chicken tenders. With my mission accomplished and food for dinner, I have retreated to my cave and turned on all the lights in hopes it will make me think it is time to work, not mope around or sleep. That is it for now!
