Snow in the Tri-cities

I think my car is snowed in!!

A little fun in the snow...you do not have to be a child to enjoy the snow...maybe we can build a snowman later!

Rail Passes....Check!!

Why leave Washington with views like this? These pictures were taken as I drove across Snoqualmie Pass this afternoon. It was a beautiful day!!

I went back to the Rick Steves' building this morning for my counseling appointment. I learned a massive amount about the rail system and cost benefit. I bought a German pass and a 3 country flexible pass. I got a bunch of good maps for different countries and planned some excursions when I am not working. The only thing left is to book some lodging. My first sight to see in Europe starts in Switzerland, more specifically Gimmelwald. This is what it may look like when I am there. There will probably be more snow! I have to take a lift up to the town and there are only three places to stay...only one that will be open in February.

Travel Festival....Getting ready to go!

I am in Seattle this weekend and we went to the Rick Steves Travel Festival. I bought a whole bunch of books and some other accessories.
We ate at Olives Wine Bar & Cafe and I actually ate Green Olives...and lived to tell about it!

My Uncle Joe taught me about Skype--mom, this is how you can stay in touch with me while I am gone.
My Aunt Debbie and I made a really good dinner...but really it was her and I was a sidekick...but I learned a lot. She said she had one or two cookbooks...and I added hundred...like a hundred cookbooks on the shelves. Anyway, I am having a great time visiting with family and I get to go back and get my rail pass on Monday. Have a good weekend!!

New Years Resolutions

Hey everybody! Here are a few pictures of my friends and I on New Year's Eve. It was a night of good food, a winning Hockey game, and fun times with friends. Can you call it a New Year's resolution if it is an active plan? One of my resolutions was to travel more in 2008...and travel to Europe!
Well, I gave notice at my work and February 8th will be my last day. I will be going to Poland in February, barring any complications. I will be working with missionaries doing the accounting. I will have opportunities to travel around Europe and will update my blog whenever I have internet and time.

Happy New Years

Happy New Year everyone!! Check out my new backpack that I got on New Year's Day! I am super excited about what 2008 will bring in my life. I am ready to pack a backpack to hike around the block or all around Europe. I am slowly collecting things for traveling abroad. It seems small on my back, but it actually holds a lot of stuff. Maybe someday I will learn how to pack light...hopefully sometime in the next month or so!

There are going to be some big changes in my life in the next few weeks so stay tuned! The sky is the limit and there is no better time than the present.
