June 2nd was a very tiring day. I was out at Leslie Groves to play in a volleyball tournament at 8:00...ok maybe I showed up with Starbucks at 8:15. We played in the sun all day; taking shade breaks when the other team had to chase the ball. I saw my first Tri-city snake as it slithered between our two grass courts back toward the river. I was scared and intrigued!!
We got put out of the tournament at 5pm--was it Michelle or Peter wanting to be finished more?? Lots of repeated sunscreen and a ball cap prevented getting burnt, but Peter was not so lucky...I guess when you sweat that much, the sunscreen just rolls off ya! Later that night I went to see Pirates of the Caribean at the new Pasco theatre. It was all I could do to make it to the end of the long movie before utter exhaustion kicked in. I did see a beautiful sunset...what a day!
