Balloon Rally
I went with my Aunt Mickey to the Prosser Balloon Rally a few weeks ago. We left town a few hours before I usually wake up and it was still rather dark when we arrived.

I was getting pretty cold and wondering why I got up so early when the trailers started opening and people got to work setting things up. I learned quite a bit about hot air balloons and know that I want to ride in one some day!!!

It was so spectacular watching them fill with air and then lift off the ground!
We both were just snapping away with our cameras and running around to different balloons! They slowly began to take off and they left a stream of balloons as more and more would prepare to leave the ground. !

We were having so much fun watching them, but we had to leave. We followed the path the balloons were taking and got some more pictures along the way. We finally made it back to Tri-cities and I had to change for work since the clothes I was wearing got wet and muddy from the field where the balloons departed. Great morning aided by the prospect of great photos, time with family, and a little Starbucks for the road...and when I got back

Coming Home
I have spent the last few days wandering about in England. I made a trip to Birmingham to visit a friend that I met in Berlin and yesterday I went out to Wimbeldon. I was a half hour late for the tour of the grounds but was still able to tour the museum which was pretty cool! I did not have enough time today to make it back out there and still make my flight home so the few glimpses of the magical green grass will have to hold me over. I went to Hard Rock Cafe last night...the Original Hard Rock and had an evening of entertainment watching the waitstaff from the bar. My waiter told me all about the history of the first opening and some other London history. I then was instructed that I had to see "The Vault"...I was the only person for that time slot so I got the personal tour from 20 year old Harry that is in a band and knows that this band is going to be Big!!! He knew a lot about Rock & Roll history and it was an amusing 30 minutes. If anyone ever hears of a rock band with the name Sugar for the Band, let me know!! haha I had to deal with Tube(subway)line closures and find an alternate way home. In doing so, I saw a few sights in London and had a scary walk home on Holland Park walk--a dmly lit path that goes on for about a mile with limited access. I probably walked faster than my PTC pace. I was plotting how I would defend myself but never had to make a decision. I am hanging out now until my flight home!!! See you all soon!

Where are we now?
At this minute, I am in Poznan, Poland and the other two girls should be sleeping soundly in their beds in Tri-cities. Our time together has ended but he had one last fun morning together along with the Tellini women. Cate drove us out to a lake an hour outside of Rome and we basked in the sun and swam in the water. It was a great end to a fun and tiring trip. The water was refreshing and I wore my two piece again which caused some very interesting burn lines. By the time I realized I needed to get out of the sun, our shade had moved and the damage had been done. I burned pretty good on places that never see the sun. We had some great laughs and a few firsts and icecream for the ride home! We dropped Rachel and Janelle at the airport and I went back to pack my stuff and head for the train station for a long journey to Poznan. It ended up taking me 24 hours from the time I got on the first train until I got off my last train. By the time I walked from the train station with my luggage, I was beat, but I stayed up long enough to get some dinner and get my laundry ready to go in the wash. I have so much to post, but need to work on a few things take care all!

Day 2 in Rome
We kept busy today in Rome. It was our last full day in Rome and we covered the ancient part of Rome, the very modern couture shopping district around the Spanish steps, went to a church service completely in Italian, and then got a personal tour of Rome in a tiny car. There were five of us and four of us would pile in/out of the car at the monuments to take night pictures and then move on to the next one. We saw more in the 3 hours touring with Cate than the last two times I was in Rome...a car and someone that has lived here for 10 years really helps! It is 2:20 AM so I am headed to bed, talk to you all soon.
